Pole dance came into my life a little by chance, during a period when I needed to reconnect with myself and with my body. What I love about this sport, beyond the tricks and the figures, is everything it teaches us about ourselves: patience, confidence, body awareness, and learning to accept that falling is part of the process. Today, I try to pass all of this on through my classes. I strongly believe that technical precision is essential to fluidity, and that together they create an endless playground to explore your own way of moving around the pole. But what I love most of all is seeing my students’ eyes light up when they become aware of their progress, sometimes through a new move, and sometimes through something much more subtle. After all, the only missed training session is the one you don’t show up to.
